How They Met

Don’t we all just spend our whole day scrolling through our Instagram feeds? But this couple got really lucky to find their love on Instagram. This much in love couple’s love story started from ‘love at first like’ and then to endless meetings and FaceTime. Meet Sonika, a cheery Guwahati girl who’s a fashion blogger and Vidit, a Punjabi boy from Mumbai who fell in love with each other with an Instagram follow request and then dated for 1 year before they tied the knot in ‘The Lalit Goa’.

Wedding Functions

Mehndi

“The theme for the Mehndi function was yellow and keeping the mood in mind, She wanted to wear an outfit that had a lively vibe. Since this was a day function, She picked a yellow lehenga from D’vasa at Chandni Chowk. The outfit featured impeccable embroidery – flowers and vines – in red, gold, and green. The lehenga was paired with the prettiest blouse in light green.”

Sangeet

The ‘live music’ and sangeet were hosted at the ballroom of the Lalit Goa. Sonika wore a self-designed red lehenga for the evening. The outfit, which featured a perfect balance of embroidery and dark hues, was accessorized with statement jewelry. Pooja subtle makeup highlighted her beautiful features.

Haldi

This was the only function for which she didn’t buy a new outfit. You’re supposed to be quite minimal on this day so she pulled out a favorite blue saree. Since she was going to have haldi all over her face and hands, She wore minimal makeup and jewelry and went with a natural look!

Wedding

It was her dream to wear a peachy Sabyasachi at her wedding and so she began the hunt which ended at Ogaan, Hauz Khas Village. A soothing tone, detailed design, and intricate thread work – it was literally her dream outfit brought to life. Most of the jewellery she wore at this ceremony was gifted to her by her grandmother and designed by her mom!
